Yesterday, Year 3 led the whole school in a wonderful assembly where we crowned Our Lady. As it is the month of May, we want to remember Our Lady. We sang songs, heard The Magnificat, shared a decade of the Rosary and said the Litany of Our lady. The oldest and youngest pupils in the school then crowned Our Lady. It was a lovely, prayerful assembly enjoyed by all!
Last night we held our Music Night where our talented pupils sang in the school choir and performed many different instruments.
This morning, the whole school celebrated Palm Sunday with an assembly performed by our Key Stage 1 pupils.
Today we supported Red Nose Day with a non uniform day raising money for disadvantaged people all over the World.
Today some of our Year 3 and 4 children participated in a Hockey Tournament at the Herne Bay Sports Hub, hosted by the School Games team.
We celebrated World book day today by dressing up as characters from 'the book that means the most to me'.
Today we held Mass in our hall to launch the Jubilee year. Parents and governors joined with our whole school to celebrate.
Father Christmas took time out of his very busy schedule and visited our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes today! The children were delighted with their gift from him.
During assembly today, prizes were given to the winners of the House Christmas card competition. It was a very tough decision, as there were so many creative and amazing cards, but the winners were:
St Ethelbert - Oliver (Yr 2) and Taya (Yr 6)
St Mildred - Jara (Yr R) and Tenuli (Yr 4)
St Augustine - Greta (Yr 1) and Leanna (Yr 3)
St Therese - Diya (Yr 2) and Evie (Yr 3)
This week our whole school took part in our Nativity at St Thomas' Church. It was a pleasure to invite all of our families to watch their children tell the story of Jesus' birth.
