How to apply

To apply online with Kent County Council, please click here.

A helpful guide to the application process produced by the Kent Admissions Service 'Your guide to applying for a Primary school in Kent 2023can be downloaded here.

As a faith school, we have our own Supplementary Information Form which applicants will need to complete in addition to the Kent County Council online application form. This provides us with the applicants religious background/information. If the religion provides evidence i.e. Baptism/Christening certificate, please ensure this is supplied alongside the Supplementary Information Form. Please click here to download our Supplementary Information Form and return directly to the school via email (office@st-thomas-canterbury.kent.sch.uk), post or by hand to the school office.

Appeals Process (September 2023)

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2023, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Monday, 17th April 2023).

You must submit your appeal before Friday, 12th May 2023.  The Local Education Authority acts on behalf of the school when dealing with appeals - more information can be found at www.kent.gov.uk/schoolappeals

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
