We have celebrated Easter in many ways here at St Thomas', including Lent penitentials, Palm Sunday, the Stations of the Cross, the Last Supper, the Way of the Cross and an Easter bonnet competition! Year 5 also completed some amazing artwork!
Year 6 enjoyed performing at the Young Voices concert at the O2 in London on Tuesday evening. They joined other primary schools in singing and watched other performers.
Our whole school took part in three performances of the Nativity at our local church - St Thomas of Canterbury. All the children enjoyed telling the story of Jesus' birth to their parents and carers.
All of our children have been working hard to tell the story of Christmas through their class displays.
Yesterday some of our pupils visited the Rare Breeds Centre in Ashford. They had a great day learning about the animals, petting them and rode on a tractor.
On Friday Year 4 enjoyed a trip to Canterbury Cathedral to be part of the Great Big Sing!
Today we celebrated Mass at school for our children who recently received their First Holy Communion.
Afterwards we presented Canon Anthony with cards and a present to celebrate his 50th year as a priest. We then had refreshments and a wonderful cake was enjoyed by all!
On Wednesday Year 4 visited the Roman Museum in Canterbury. They had a wonderful time learning all about the Romans and their lives. They then continued learning more at the Beaney.
Today we held our annual Sports day! There was plenty of fun and games as the whole school joined in on our field and playground. Our parents enjoyed watching and then joined their children afterwards for a picnic lunch.
Our Year 6 class returned from their residential trip on Friday, where they took part in many team building activities and made many memories in the process!
