School Meals

Meals are supplied by an external company; Caterlink,  however all meals are prepared and cooked onsite in our kitchen.

The cost of meals is currently £2.85 a day. Bookings and payment can be made online via ParentMail.

A menu is supplied by Caterlink (available for download at the top of this page) three times a year and printed copies are available from the school office.

Children who do not wish to eat a hot dinner are welcome to bring their own healthy packed lunch from home.

All children in Year 2 and below are entitled to free school meals under the Universal bracket. You do not need to opt in or out at this stage, however you do need to book via Parentmail if your child requires a meal.

Some children in Year 3 and above may also be entitled to free school meals. These need to be booked via Parentmail. The child's parent/carer must receive one of these benefits to qualify:

  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.

Kent County Council may ask for proof of benefit after you apply.
