  • Non-Uniform Day (Thursday 22nd October)

    Wed 21 Oct 2015 Miss D'Agostini

UPDATE: In total, £372.82 was raised from the 'Great British Bake Off' and non-uniform day!

Thank you for the wonderful support shown at yesterday's 'Great British Bake Off'. A good number of children joined in the competition and the cake sales at break time and after school raised £155.53 in support of the refugee crisis.

Some parents have been asking how we could support this very worthy cause even more and Archbishop Peter Smith has also called upon all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Southwark to really do its bit. This crisis really does need our urgent attention and we therefore apologise for the short notice but we have decided to hold a non-uniform day tomorrow, Thursday 22nd October, as it is the last day of term.

We ask that children bring in £1 with them tomorrow as a donation for the privilege of wearing their own clothes into school. We are hoping to raise in excess of £350 through the 'Great British Bake Off' and non-uniform day.

News and photographs from yesterday's 'Great British Bake Off' can be found on the school's website (www.st-thomas-canterbury.kent.sch.uk).

    Reminders

    • Parent Consultations are taking place today and tomorrow. You should have received your appointment time.
    • The school is closed on Friday 23rd October for an INSET Day. We look forward to seeing children back on Monday 2nd November.
